Bone broth made from chicken served in a bowl with parsley

Bone Marrow Stock

Bone marrow stock is a healthy and economical way to build up your immune system and increase the good bacteria in your gut. At our storefront, choose from packages of chicken backs, chicken stock packages, chicken feet, beef marrow bones, or ham bones to make your stocks or broths.

Ingredients:

Beef, Chicken, or Pig Bones
2 Stalks of Celery
2 Carrots
1 Onions
2 Cloves Garlic
1 Bay Leaf
Tsp. Peppercorns
Salt- to taste

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Toss cut carrots, onions, and bones in olive oil. Roast 45 minutes, tossing half way through. Bones should look brown, but not burned. Remove from oven and place all items in a stock pot. Cover bones and vegetables with water and add garlic, bay leaf, and peppercorns. Heat to a low simmer, cover, and for at least 3 hours or as long as 8. Use tongs to remove bones and vegetables. Strain stock through a cheese cloth and let cool to room temperature. Skim fat, if necessary, and store in the fridge or freeze for up to 6 months.
