What’s Not Included In Good Chick Starter Feed?
Just as it’s important to know what is in your chick starter feed, it’s also important to know what’s not included. Many major brands include medications within their feed. These medications reduce risks associated with coccidiosis, an intestinal disease caused by parasites. Consistent use of medicated feeds, however, can lead to treatment resistance in your flock and residual medication in your birds. We recommend choosing a feed without added hormones, antibiotics or medications. Avoiding those additions will keep your birds healthy and all-natural, which will help keep your customer and family healthy.
